Taking place during COP26 in Glasgow, YOURGB worked with The Macaulay Development Trust and James Hutton Institute to produce a hybrid event alongside 3 smaller surrounding live event to discuss sustainability and climate change.

YOURGB supported The Macaulay Development Trust and the James Hutton Institute to produce and manage the live and online (hybrid) event, titled The 43rd TB Macaulay Lecture and surrounding events, all of which were held in the backdrop of COP26 in Glasgow. Hosted annually, the lecture aims to stimulate discussion and debate about sustainability and climate change that affects not only Scotland, but the world.

The lecture was hosted in the University of Strathclyde Technology and Innovation Centre and brought together an audience of over 250 people in -person, with a further 600 joining online, to hear from host Laura Goodwin, Christiana Figueres, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, Anuna de Wever, Lola Segers and Julieta Martinez. The speakers held individual presentations, followed by ‘In Conversation With’ style discussions and a live Q&A, with questions asked from the online and live audience. The audience was engaged from beginning to end, with the 2 hour lecture bringing together leading voices in the fight against climate change. After the lecture, guests were welcomed to an exhibition and networking reception.

Hosted for the first time live on a bespoke platform, YOURGB supported with full hybrid technical management, bespoke website build and management, communications, documentation creation, talent managers, scripting, supplier liaisons, venue liaison, exhibition management, on-site managers, content creation, PR, analytics and full end to end management of all surrounding events.

YOURGB were also delighted to support with 3 additional surrounding events that took place on the days around the lecture, including the TB Macaulay Dinner which saw 30 esteemed guests join together for an evening of great food and conversation.
