YOURGB was delighted to produce a series of fantastic Christmas events and activations over six weekends throughout the festive season for St James Quarter.

Highlights included a sparkling Christmas Window Box photo-op installation, a magical Christmas Parade & Light Switch-On featuring panto stars and performers, an immersive Elf Adventure, the ‘Sounds of the Season’ pop-up music programme, a Bridgerton-themed Christmas experience, and special gift-wrapping stations for large-scale gifting. 

YOURGB orchestrated the planning, design, and construction of the Christmas Window Box, adding a festive touch to the Quarter and offering guests the chance to snap a picture in this glittering backdrop. Participants could also enter a competition to win a cash prize!

The Christmas Parade and Light Switch-On event was carefully curated and produced in collaboration with the St James Quarter team, Capital Theatres and local Edinburgh Dance Schools. Crowds were mesmerized by the parade, which was led by SJQ’s own Stylish Santa, Edinburgh panto star Jordan Young, a live marching band, ballerinas, and LED dancers, culminating in the spectacular light switch-on moment.

YOURGB handpicked Santa’s top elves to lead children through an afternoon of Elf School activities, reindeer food-making sessions and enchanting Christmas stories, all taking place in a themed and dressed area within the Quarter.

The team also sourced and carefully selected a lineup of Edinburgh’s finest musicians to fill the Quarter with the ‘Sounds of the Season’ followed by a Bridgerton-themed Christmas. The evening featured live performances, including festive jazz vocals and some soul & disco with a Christmas twist. With all the talent being managed by the YOURGB team, we facilitated a spectacular performance from an award-winning string quartet and Bridgerton ballerinas. Guests could also take part in Bridgerton-themed dance class bringing interactive and immersive experiences for all ages throughout the Quarter.

The final festive activation was in support of the Quarter’s charity partners—Edinburgh Women’s Aid and Health in Mind—YOURGB set up pop-up gift-wrapping stations, where presents were beautifully wrapped by professional gift wrappers in exchange for a donation to these incredible causes.
